hey 107!

today seems to be a depressing day, what with our EL SA results and such.... i know that everyone didn't really do well, and well... you're upset about it. so here's a little something for everyone, hoping to inspire you guys and cheer you up! :D

Comfortable
Two sisters, one blonde and one brunette, inherit the family ranch. Unfortunately, after just a few years, they are in financial trouble.

In order to keep the bank from repossessing the ranch, they need to purchase a bull so that they can breed their own stock.

The brunette balances their checkbook, then takes their last $600 dollars out west to another ranch where a man has a prize bull for sale. Upon leaving, she tells her sister, "When I get there, if I decide to buy the bull, I'll contact you to drive out after me and haul it home."

The brunette arrives at the man's ranch, inspects the bull, and decides she does want to buy it. The man tells her that he can sell it for $599, no less.

After paying him, she drives to the nearest town to send her sister a telegram to tell her the news. She walks into the telegraph office, and says, "I want to send a telegram to my sister telling her that I've bought a bull for our ranch. I need her to hitch the trailer to our pick-up truck and drive out here so we can haul it home."

The telegraph operator explains that he'll be glad to help her, then adds, "It's just 99 cents a word." Well, with only $1 left after paying for the bull, the brunette realizes that she'll only be able to send her sister one word.

After thinking for a few minutes, she nods, and says, "I want you to send her the word, 'comfortable.'"

The telegraph operator shakes his head. "How is she ever going to know that you want her to hitch the trailer to your pick-up truck and drive out here to haul that bull back to your ranch if you send her the word, 'comfortable?'"

The brunette explains, "My sister's blonde. She'll read it slow."

important announcement

hi class,
regarding the birthday celebration for our class, there has been a mistake. its on the 25 not 26 of march. the birthday celebration for kailing n stephanie is on 26 not 25. and here are some points to note:

please people who have decorations, bring like balloons or streamers? and pass to class chair. we need decorations =)
also, those who can bring food for both parties pls your welcomed =) w/o food it isint really a party
and, the party for our class is in CLE while the one for our PSL is in the morning b4 asembly,
so if you come late, dont worry cause it is TILL assembly. as in till the bell rings.
and presents. you can buy, you can dont buy. but try to be equal or like 1 psl recieve little then another recieve alot, its like not really good. the PSL might feel hurt..

homework for mar holidays(jia qi's gonna be so happy)

hello! here are the homework for the mar holidays. i'm not sure if i've missed out on any. if i did, pls help by editing, can? thx!

1. math assignments

4. math ws 2: correct to 1 sig. fig.

6. chem ws(so many of them so i wun list everything down)
7. chem group work about atomic structure(this, i'm so totally not sure cos i thought we're supposed to do the whole thing. then later jin yao told me that we're supposed to tell lavanya our group members then she'll tell us which specific person we're doing on. omg, this i relly dunno)
8. learning journey things(those ws that we got)
9. History Worksheet (Cradles of civilisations). Read the textbook before you attempt it and you may want your atlas at hand as well.
10. MAD reflection.
